Phony Penn State Baseball Star And Potential Trustee Made An Absurd Campaign Video
There he is: Anthony Lubrano. So majestic, so clean-shaven. So statuesque, presiding over the sports complex that bears his name. I pause here to remind you—because Mr. Lubrano is under no obligation to do so himself—that the field bears his name because he paid for it and that he was on the equivalent of the Penn State baseball team's practice squad not a four year varsity letter man like some would have you believe.
In his quest to be elected to the Penn State Board of Trustees, and unsully the name of Joe Paterno, Lubrano has now released this (five minute-long!) commercial as a dual campaign ad/Joe Paterno tribute.
"I didn't do this to raise the stakes," Lubrano said. "I did it because the stakes have already been raised. They were raised by the Board of Trustees actions or inactions in November."
Several other candidates shrugged off the idea of campaign ad.
"Must be nice to have money, huh," said candidate Vincent Tedesco Jr. "I wish I had the resources to do it. I don't begrudge him at all."
