I’m not quite sure what to say about this campaign ad recently released by Greg Knight, a Tory MP representing East Yorkshire. Consider that Knight told the press “I never aspired to be an Alan Partridge” after it went viral; consider that he did so because, to a first approximation, every single outlet in the United Kingdom compared him to Alan Partridge, whom he became, regardless of his aspirations; consider this full-length version of the rousing campaign jingle heard at the end of this video; and consider this performance of the rousing campaign jingle on a glockenspiel, perhaps over a plate of stewed offal and a pint of warm, flat beer.
