Mandatory Credit: Geoff Burke-Imagn Images Play was suspended at the Madrid Open on Monday due to a massive power outage in the Spanish capital.
Action was underway in the fourth round for the ATP Tour and WTA Tour events when the power went out at about 12:30 p.m. local time.
The outages affecting parts of Spain and Portugal prevented the use of electronic line calling systems.
A "spider cam" was left dangling over the court at Manolo Santana Stadium, where 15th-seeded Grigor Dimitrov was leading Jacob Fearnley 6-4, 5-4 when play was suspended.
