Financial terms were not disclosed for Baron, who now is signed through the 2026 season. The center back was featured by Colombia at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup and this year's Summer Olympics in Paris.
"Angela is a player we have been tracking for a while," Racing coach Bev Yanez said. "Her ability and vision on the ball while building out in our system were big reasons we felt confident in bringing her to our group. We are excited to have her here in purple."
Baron, who turns 21 next month, played collegiately at Arizona, recording one assist in 12 starts. Her mother is Colombian, but Baron was born in Texas.
"We are thrilled to finally have Angela in Louisville," Racing general manager Ryan Dell said. "She is a player we have scouted for some time and believe she will thrive in our system of play while bringing strong international experience."
