Raiders LB Rolando McClain Was At The Scene Of A Shooting In Alabama Last Night
One person was injured, but no one has been charged, according to a statement issued by the Decatur (Ala.) Police Department. The victim refused treatment at the scene, drove himself to the hospital, and was released. Lt. John Crouch, a police spokesman, just told me over the phone he is preparing another statement that will be released shortly. We will update when we get it. The Raiders play in Miami on Sunday.
UPDATE: CSN Bay Area is reporting that McClain, a native of Decatur who played at the University of Alabama, has been arrested and charged with "discharging a firearm within city limits, third degree assault, menacing, and reckless endangerement [sic]." Wednesday's injury report said McClain had an ankle injury, and Raiders coach Hue Jackson told the media McClain was back in Alabama for his grandfather's funeral. [ CSN Bay Area]
