Mandatory Credit: Kiyoshi Mio-Imagn Images The Los Angeles Rams activated Tyler Higbee from injured reserve on Saturday and downgraded fellow tight end Terrance Ferguson to doubtful for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Arizona Cardinals.
The Rams (11-5) are facing either the NFC's No. 5 or No. 6 seed in the upcoming playoffs.
Higbee, 33, has not played since a Nov. 16 victory over the Seattle Seahawks because of an ankle injury. He has 20 receptions for 190 yards and two touchdowns in nine games (seven starts) this season.
In 10 NFL seasons, all with the Rams, Higbee has 381 receptions for 3,858 yards and 26 touchdowns.
To create a spot on the 53-man roster, the Rams waived defensive lineman Larrell Murchison.
Ferguson, 22, has been dealing with a hamstring injury. He was used sparingly early in the season after he was a second-round draft pick out of Oregon in April and has 11 receptions for 231 yards and three TDs in 14 games (three starts).
