Rangers activate LHP MacKenzie Gore from paternity list

The Texas Rangers activated left-hander MacKenzie Gore from the paternity list on Saturday and optioned right-hander Ben Peoples to Triple-A Round Rock.

Gore went to the paternity list Wednesday as the Rangers activated left-hander Cody Bradford for his season debut.


Gore, 27, is 6-9 with a 4.55 ERA in 24 starts during his first season with Texas. Over five major league seasons, he is 32-50 with a 4.26 ERA in 129 appearances (126 starts) for the San Diego Padres (2022), Washington Nationals (2023-25) and Rangers.

Gore was an All-Star with the Nationals last season.

Peoples, 25, made his major league debut July 4 and was 0-1 with a 2.19 ERA over 12 relief appearances.
