Mandatory Credit: Nathan Ray Seebeck-Imagn Images Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Jonny DeLuca will be sidelined six to eight weeks with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain, the team confirmed Monday after an MRI.
DeLuca landed on the 10-day injured list on Sunday after getting hurt while running out an infield single on Friday in a 4-2 win against the New York Yankees.
DeLuca, 27, is batting .269 with two homers and 19 RBIs in 41 games this season. He is a .244 career hitter with 10 homers and 60 RBIs in 192 career games with the Los Angeles Dodgers (2023) and Rays.
