Red Sox Fans Have Had Enough Of Manny
This image was lost some time after publication. We have to say, it's a sad day when the city of Boston — or anyone, really — turns on outfielder Manny Ramirez. Maybe because we're not Red Sox fans, but we love Manny. When they say "that's just Manny being Manny," it's not fair, but come on: It's true. The guy wore sunglasses with in iPod in them to the field! He walked into the Green Monster between pitches! How do you not love this guy?
Apparently, though, Bostonians — not satiated by a freaking World Series title — have finally turned against Manny. In a pretty brutal piece in The Boston Globe today, Ramirez is reported as refusing to fill on a day he wanted off yesterday and calls for Red Sox management to "rise up and condemn him for his selfish indifference." If loving Manny is a crime, though, we plead guilty.
