Reds trade RHP Kyle Nicolas to Orioles for cash

The Cincinnati Reds traded reliever Kyle Nicolas to the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday in exchange for cash considerations.
The 27-year-old right-hander is 1-0 with an 8.59 ERA in seven relief appearances this season with the Reds.
Nicolas is 4-4 with a 4.96 ERA in 93 career games (zero starts) with the Pittsburgh Pirates (2023-25) and Reds.
The Orioles optioned Nicolas to Triple-A Norfolk and designated right-hander Eduarniel Nunez for assignment.
The Reds also sent catcher Jose Trevino (left hamstring) to Triple-A Louisville on a rehab assignment.
