San Francisco 49ers defensive end Ray McDonald, who was arrested on domestic violence charges in August, has had a search warrant served at his house by police who are investigating a rape case.
There aren't many details out yet, but ABC 7 has some:
San Jose police report getting a call from a local area hospital regarding a possible sexual assault victim who was receiving treatment. Officers responded and made contact with the adult female victim. The victim alleged she was possibly sexually assaulted a day prior. The preliminary investigation revealed the alleged suspect was Ray McDonald.
In November, the Santa Clara, Calif., district attorney decided not to press charges in McDonald's domestic violence case.

On December 16, 2014 at approximately 10:43 am, the San Jose Police Department received a call from a local area hospital regarding a possible sexual assault victim who was receiving treatment. Officers responded and made contact with the adult female victim. The victim alleged she was possibly sexually assaulted a day prior. The preliminary investigation revealed the alleged suspect was Ray McDonald.
The San Jose Police Department Sexual Assaults Investigations Unit was notified and responded to conduct follow-up investigation. Based on preliminary investigation, detectives secured a search warrant and served it at the alleged suspect's residence in San Jose.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is active and on-going. No other information will be released at this time.
