Report: Dodgers promoting top prospect C Dalton Rushing

The Los Angeles Dodgers are preparing to call up prized catching prospect Dalton Rushing, The Athletic reported Wednesday.
Rushing, 24, is batting .308 with a .938 OPS, five homers and 17 RBIs in 31 games this season at Triple-A Oklahoma City. He has started 16 games behind the plate, eight at first base and one in left field.
Rushing homered and drove in three runs in the Comets' 8-5 win at Round Rock on Tuesday.
Ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the Dodgers' system and No. 15 overall by MLB Pipeline, Rushing was a second-round draft pick in 2022 out of the University of Louisville.
Through four seasons in the minors, Rushing has batted .277 with 54 homers and 185 RBIs in 265 games.
