Report: Giants fire defensive coaches Jerome Henderson, Michael Treier

The New York Giants have fired defensive passing game coordinator/defensive backs coach Jerome Henderson and safeties coach Michael Treier, the NFL Network reported on Wednesday.
The Giants, who finished 3-14, previously announced they have retained head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen for the 2025 season.
The defense ranked eighth in allowing 210.6 passing yards per game but was tied for 30th in yielding a 69.4 pass completion percentage and was 31st of 32 teams with five interceptions.
Henderson, 55, completed his fifth season as DB coach with the Giants and first with the additional title of defensive passing game coordinator.
He previously coached on defense with the Atlanta Falcons (2016-19), Dallas Cowboys (2012-15), Cleveland Browns (2009-11) and New York Jets (2007-08), where he began as director of player development in 2006.
Treier, 34, served in various capacities with the Giants in defensive quality control (2020), assistant defensive backs (2021-22) and safeties (2023-24). His previous coaching experience was in the college ranks.
