Report: Giants signing RHP Jordan Hicks to 4-year, $44M deal

The 27-year-old free agent is expected to join the starting rotation after spending most of his career in the bullpen, per the report.
Hicks split the 2023 season with the St. Louis Cardinals and Toronto Blue Jays and finished 3-9 with a 3.29 ERA and 12 saves in 65 relief appearances. He struck out 81 batters in 65 2/3 innings of work.
A third-round draft pick by St. Louis in 2015, Hicks owns a career record of 11-21 with a 3.85 ERA and 32 saves in 212 games (eight starts) for the Cardinals (2018-19, 2021-23) and Blue Jays.
