Report: LIV Golf adds requirement for new signings

Newly contracted players will also be expected to play a minimum of two International Series events on the Asian Tour, according to a report by Flushing It. While many players already compete in multiple Asian Tour events on their own, the new requirement further strengthens the partnership between LIV Golf and the International Series.
LIV's indemnity policy that covers fines imposed on its players by the DP World Tour expires at the end of 2025, which could lead to more players competing on the Asian Tour. The International Series also affords the critical opportunity for LIV players to earn Official World Golf Ranking points.
The International Series is a slate of events that offers a pathway to promotion to LIV. The sixth of nine 2026 tournament begins in the Philippines on Thursday, and features a $2 million prize fund along with a field that includes 15 LIV players. Among them are Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen.

At least six LIV Golf roster spots remain open for the 2026 season. While many of them are expected to be filled by re-signing players on expiring contracts, Cleeks captain Martin Kaymer said earlier this month that he has heard from several DP World Tour players who are interested in making the move to the Saudi-backed league.
LIV Golf's fifth season is scheduled to begin Feb. 5-7, 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
