Report: Luke Kuechly named Netflix's lead NFL analyst
Luke Kuechly, a new Pro Football Hall of Famer, speaks about his items on display in a new exhibit at the Hall, Friday, April 17, 2026. Hall of Fame linebacker Luke Kuechly will be named the new lead analyst for Netflix's NFL broadcasts, The Athletic reported on Tuesday.
Kuechly, 35, retired after eight outstanding seasons with the Carolina Panthers (2012-19) and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2026, scheduled for induction on Aug. 8.
The seven-time Pro Bowl selection and five-time first-team All-Pro impressed Netflix executives during a recent tryout, per The Athletic.
Kuechly will initially team with NBC play-by-play voice Noah Eagle for a Thursday night game on Sept. 10 between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne, Australia. NBC is producing the game for Netflix.
The streaming giant will broadcast five NFL games this season, including a doubleheader on Christmas.
Kuechly's broadcasting experience includes serving as a radio analyst for the Panthers. He has also been a podcast host and did two "Monday Night Football" alt-casts on ESPN2 last season.
