Report: Miami QB Carson Beck lands $10M through transfer

Carson Beck's recent transfer to Miami (FL) already has proven to be a success off the field, with the quarterback landing as much as $10 million in combined NIL deals, Front Office Sports reported.
The former Georgia quarterback missed the Bulldogs' College Football Playoff quarterfinal loss to Notre Dame after he underwent surgery on the ulnar collateral ligament in his right (throwing) elbow.
According to the report, Beck's agents at ESM said the quarterback has secured some of his $10 million sum from brand deals, while the remainder is "from the Miami NIL collective Canes Connection." Beck's corporate partners include Beats by Dre, Powerade, Chipotle, and Airstar Charter.
Beck, 23, first announced he was heading to the NFL Draft before amending that decision and saying he was going into the transfer portal. He committed to Miami on Friday.
A two-year starter at Georgia, Beck passed for 7,912 yards with 58 touchdowns and 20 interceptions for the Bulldogs. He spent five seasons at UGA and has one year of eligibility remaining.
The $10 million sum would make Beck the highest paid player in college football, ahead of two other QBs who secured $8 million through transfers. Darian Mensah moved from Duke to Tulane, while John Mateer went from Washington State to Oklahoma.
