Report: Patriots CB Marcellas Dial suffers torn ACL

New England Patriots' second-year cornerback Marcellas Dial has torn the ACL in his left knee and likely will miss the entire season, ESPN reported on Tuesday.
Dial suffered the injury Monday during practice and was carted off the field.
A sixth-round pick out of South Carolina in 2024, the 24-year-old Dial played in all 17 games as a rookie. He made his lone start in the final week of the season and posted five tackles. Otherwise, Dial was a key member of the Patriots' special teams -- making seven of his 12 tackles on kick coverage.
Dial was regarded as a backup to starting cornerbacks Carlton Davis III and Christian Gonzalez.
