Levis, 24, who was injured last Sunday on a sack by the Houston Texans' Desmond King, was limited in practice Friday after not practicing Wednesday or Thursday. The rookie is listed as questionable on the team's final injury report.
Titans coach Mike Vrabel said Wednesday that Tannehill would start if Levis couldn't play.
Tannehill, 35, was 2-4 as Tennessee's starter before an ankle injury in Week 6 sidelined him. Levis was 3-5 after taking over in Week 8, throwing four touchdowns in his debut against the Atlanta Falcons.
Levis has completed 59.0 percent of his passes for 1,792 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions.
Tannehill, who is in the final season for a four-year, $118 million deal, has completed 62.0 percent of his passes for 1,128 yards with two touchdowns and six interceptions.
"I just want to go out if I have the opportunity and play well to get a win," Tannehill said. "You have to find some reason to go out there and bring passion and bring energy. Right now, I play for my teammates, my family and myself."
In other injury news Saturday, the Titans placed two-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons on injured reserve. Simmons has been out since injuring his right knee in a Week 12 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Simmons, 26, was the 19th overall pick in the 2019 draft and finished this season with 5.5 sacks, 44 tackles, 11 quarterback hits and 10 tackles for loss. He signed a four-year, $94 million contract extension in April.
In 68 games (66 starts) over five seasons with the Titans, Simmons has 26.5 sacks, 233 tackles, 57 quarterback hits and 38 tackles for loss.
