Mandatory Credit: Kirby Lee-Imagn Images The Colorado Rockies reportedly will place right-hander Chase Dollander on the 15-day injured list, effectively ending the rookie's season.
The Denver Post reported Friday that the 2023 first-round pick (ninth overall) is dealing with a knee injury. He had been in line to start Saturday's game at San Diego.
Dollander, 23, made his major league debut on April 6 and compiled a 2-12 record with a 6.52 ERA in 21 starts. He has struggled at Coors Field but registered a 3.46 ERA and 1.173 WHIP in 10 road starts.
In his most recent appearance Monday in Los Angeles, he held the Dodgers to one run on one hit in five innings but did not earn a decision.
