Report: West Virginia RB Jahiem White (knee) out for season

White, a junior, was injured in the second quarter of Saturday's 17-10 loss at Ohio after he gained 40 yards on six carries with a touchdown. He opened the campaign with 93 yards rushing and two TDs on Aug. 30 against Robert Morris.
White ran for 844 yards on 148 carries with seven touchdowns last season after he amassed 842 yards on 109 carries with four TDs in 2023.
On Saturday, the Mountaineers received 18 yards rushing on two carries by receiver Rodney Gallagher III and 2 yards on four carries from Clay Ash. West Virginia had 72 yards rushing in the game.
White, who is a native of York, Pa., was a preseason All-Big 12 selection.
