Reports: Courtney Vandersloot ready to rejoin Sky

Courtney Vandersloot, who spent her first 12 WNBA seasons in Chicago before playing two years for the New York Liberty, is set to rejoin the Sky.
The 35-year-old guard agreed to a free agent deal with Chicago, multiple media outlets reported on Wednesday. Vandersloot's agent confirmed the agreement to The Athletic, and ESPN noted that she changed her bio on Instagram to read "Chicago Sky."
Per WNBA free agency rules, the deal cannot be finalized until Saturday.
Per The Athletic, Vandersloot also considered signing with the Seattle Storm and the expansion Golden State Valkyries.
Vandersloot helped lead the Sky to the WNBA championship in 2021, and she was a key reserve of the Liberty's league title team in 2024.
A five-time All-Star and five-time All-WNBA selection, Vandersloot has led the league in assists seven times.
Vandersloot's stats were down last season, as she averaged a career-low 6.4 points plus 4.8 assists (her lowest mark in the past 12 years) in 31 regular-season games, all starts. In the postseason, she came off the bench in all 11 games and logged 5.3 points and 2.5 assists per contest.
For her career, Vandersloot has averages of 10 points, 6.6 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 429 games (398 starts).
