Reports: D Darnell Nurse requests trade out of Edmonton

Nurse, 31, has four years left on his eight-year, $74 million deal that carries a $9.25 million average annual value. His contract includes a full no-movement clause that prevents the Oilers from trading him without his permission. He has reportedly submitted a list of potential destinations to the team.
Nurse has been with the Oilers for 12 seasons after being drafted in the first round, seventh overall in the 2013 draft. He had seven goals and 17 assists this season, his lowest output since the 2017-18 season, while playing all 82 games.
Nurse did not record a point in six playoff games this season as the Oilers were eliminated in the first round by the Anaheim Ducks.
In 798 career games, Nurse has 88 goals and 236 assists. He has seven goals and 22 assists in 100 career playoff games.
