Reports: Jets to part ways with WR Allen Lazard

Mandatory Credit: Katie Stratman-Imagn Images The New York Jets are granting wide receiver Allen Lazard's request to be released, multiple media outlets reported on Tuesday.
Lazard, who reportedly is seeking to play for a contending team, signed a four-year, $44 million contract ahead of the 2023 season
Should Lazard be claimed off waivers, the team that picks him up will be responsible to pay the final three weeks ($291,667) of his 2025 base salary of $1.75 million.
Lazard, 30, has 10 catches for 70 yards and one touchdown in 10 games (two starts) this season. He joined the Jets shortly after the arrival of former Green Bay Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers.
He has totaled 239 catches for 3,147 yards and 28 TDs in 93 career games (64 starts) for the Packers (2018-22) and Jets.
