Reports: Jon Jones Fails Yet Another Doping Test
Photo Credit: Sean M. Haffey/ [object Object] Jon Jones tested positive for steroids at UFC 214 and is expected to be stripped of the title he won from Daniel Cormier, as first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by MMA Fighting.
Jones, whose achievements are matched only by his peerless capacity for managing to fuck everything up, tested positive for the anabolic steroid Turinabol. It’s been only 13 months since his last failed drug test, which got him pulled from his headlining fight with Cormier in UFC 200 and then suspended for a year. (He maintained that he had not known the off-brand Cialis pills, which he claimed he was taking because he has a huge dick, contained any banned substances.)
TMZ reported that Jones had already been stripped of his title—which would somehow make this the third time the man widely acclaimed as the best to ever fight has been stripped of a title—but other reporters say it isn’t so (yet):
Jones, whom the UFC was counting on to serve as the centerpiece of the promotion for years to come with Ronda Rousey all but retired and Conor McGregor’s future in MMA an open question, could be suspended for up to four years.
