Reports: Packers TE Tucker Kraft (knee) OK after 'little scare'
Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (85) celebrates a touchdown against the Washington Commanders on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. The Packers defeated the Commanders 27-18.
Wm. Glasheen USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft sustained a knee injury at practice on Thursday but multiple media outlets reported that the third-year pass catcher will be all right.
ESPN reported that the Packers' leading receiver got "a little scare but all good." Another source told ESPN, "I think he will be OK."
Per the report, Green Bay (2-0) does not expect Kraft will miss Sunday's game at the Cleveland Browns (0-2), but the team is waiting to see how his knee feels on Friday before making a decision on his status.
Kraft, 24, who has yet to miss a game in his NFL career, was added to the injury report as questionable for Sunday's game. If he does sit out, Luke Musgrave (three catches for 36 yards in 2025) would likely step in as the Packers' No. 1 tight end.
Green Bay already is without a pair of wide receivers, leaving quarterback Jordan Love without key pieces of the passing game. Jayden Reed could return this season after breaking his collarbone last week against Washington and also undergoing foot surgery for a preseason injury. Christian Watson remains out after ACL surgery in January and is on the physically unable to perform list.
Kraft, who posted 50 receptions for 707 yards and seven touchdowns while playing all 17 regular-season games in 2024, leads Green Bay this season with eight grabs for 140 yards and a pair of scores. Last Thursday, he notched his first 100-yard game with six catches for 124 yards and a score in a 27-18 home win over the Commanders.
In his third NFL season, the native of Timber Lake, S.D., has compiled 89 receptions for 1,202 yards and 11 touchdowns in 36 regular-season games. Kraft also has 10 catches for 50 yards and one TD in three playoff games (all starts).
