Reports: Packers to hire ex-Cards coach Jonathan Gannon as DC
Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon looks onto the field during a NFL game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals, Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025, at Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati. The Green Bay Packers are set to hire former Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon as their defensive coordinator, multiple media outlets reported on Sunday.
Gannon would replace Jeff Hafley, who spent the past two seasons running the Packers' defense before accepting the head coaching position with the Miami Dolphins on Monday.
Gannon, 42, interviewed for several defensive coordinator positions throughout the league after being fired by the Cardinals on Jan. 5.
The Cardinals finished 3-14 in the recently completed season and 15-36 over three campaigns with Arizona.
Prior to taking the job, Gannon spent two seasons as the defensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles.
