Reports: White Sox reach 1-year deal with RHP John Brebbia

Free-agent reliever John Brebbia agreed to terms with the Chicago White Sox on a one-year contract, multiple media outlets reported Saturday.
Per The Athletic, the deal is worth at least $5.5 million, with $4 million being paid in 2024 and a $6 million mutual option or $1.5 million buyout for 2025. It also includes performance bonuses for the right-hander.
Brebbia, 33, posted a 3-5 record with a 3.99 ERA in 40 games (10 starts) last season with the San Francisco Giants. He missed more than two months of the campaign with a lat strain.
He is 15-15 with two saves and a 3.42 ERA in 295 career games (21 starts) with the St. Louis Cardinals (2017-19) and Giants (2021-23).
