The Chicago White Sox are set to bolster their lineup and defense with the addition of Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle in a Monday trade, according to multiple media reports.

The deal, which is reportedly agreed to but pending medical review, would see Colorado acquire right-hander Mason Adams and shortstop Carlos Vielma from Chicago, per MLB.com.

Doyle, 28, missed two months earlier this season with a left oblique contusion and then a left groin strain during a rehab assignment. He returned to the major league roster on July 31.

He's hitting .214 with one homer and five RBIs in 45 games this season. However, he's been more productive the last two seasons for the Rockies, hitting .233 with 15 homers and 57 RBIs in 2025 and .260 with 23 homers and 72 RBIs.

Over four major league seasons with Colorado, Doyle is hitting .233 with 49 homers, 182 RBIs and 79 stolen bases to go along with 484 strikeouts and 110 walks in 458 games. He won Gold Glove awards in each of his first two seasons in 2023 and ‘24.

Adams, 26, is the White Sox's No. 8 prospect, per MLB Pipeline. He returned from Tommy John surgery early this season and is 3-4 with a 3.86 ERA in 14 games (12 starts) across three minor league levels. That includes 3-3 with a 4.25 ERA in nine games (seven starts) spanning 36 innings at Triple-A Charlotte.

Vielma, a 16-year-old from Venezuela, signed an international contract with Chicago in January. He hit .337 with one homer, six doubles and 21 RBIs in 34 games with the White Sox's Dominican Summer League rookie-class affiliate.
