The deal announced Wednesday, using targeted allocation money, includes a club option for the 2026 season.
Kessler, 25, was New England's first-round pick in 2020 and his current deal was set to expire at season's end.
Limited by a hamstring injury this season, Kessler has recorded one goal in eight MLS matches (seven starts).
"Henry has shown tremendous growth over his four seasons with the Revolution and has been one of our most reliable defenders throughout his professional career," New England technical director Curt Onalfo said. "We look forward to Henry's contributions in a Revolution uniform for years to come."
Kessler has contributed four goals in 80 matches (72 starts) since making his debut with the Revs in 2020.
