Blackmon, who was drafted by the club in 2008 and has been with them since, was otherwise set to become a free agent this winter. He won last year’s batting title and received MVP votes in each of the last two seasons, only getting better and better in the last few years. But never mind all that; have you heard that he’s affable? Exemplary? Real?
