Rockies Extend Vivacious, Pure, Witty, Suave, Athletic, Cordial, Bearded Strategist
credits: Colorado Rockies | source: [object Object] The Rockies have extended leadoff hitter Charlie Blackmon with a six-year deal, ensuring that at least one part of the team’s core will be around for the long haul. Blackmon, who was drafted by the club in 2008 and has been with them since, was otherwise set to become a free agent this winter. He won last year’s batting title and received MVP votes in each of the last two seasons, only getting better and better in the last few years. But never mind all that; have you heard that he’s affable? Exemplary? Real?
Royal. (Would like a fact-check on that one, actually.) Comfortable. Mature. Random. And above all: opening-minded. Just so many openings on his mind.
