Ryan Tannehill Leaves Game With Knee Injury, May Have Torn ACL
After leaving today’s Dolphins-Cardinals game with a knee injury, quarterback Ryan Tannehill could be out for the rest of the year and possibly into next season. A hit from defensive end Calais Campbell knocked Tannehill down and sent him out of the game in the third quarter:
Tannehill didn’t return to play, but he was seen in street clothes crying and hugging teammates on the sideline during the fourth quarter. After the Dolphins’ 26-23 victory, head coach Adam Gase told reporters that the team was concerned that Tannehill’s injury was a torn ACL, which would most likely end the QB’s season.
Backup quarterback Matt Moore replaced Tannehill in the fourth quarter and would likely fill in for him for the remainder of the season.
