Seton Hall secures comeback overtime win over DePaul

Mandatory Credit: Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images Isaiah Coleman drained the game-tying 3-pointer with five seconds left in regulation and added seven points in overtime as Seton Hall fought back from down 19 to stun DePaul 85-80 on Wednesday in Newark, N.J.
Coleman scored 22 of his 24 points after halftime, adding six rebounds and five assists. Dylan Addae-Wusu supplied a season-high 24 points (eight in overtime) and seven assists.
Prince Aligbe added 16 points and six boards off the bench for the Pirates (6-9, 1-3 Big East), who prevailed despite never leading in regulation.
The DePaul Blue Demons (9-7, 0-5) have now lost 37 straight Big East regular-season games dating back to Jan. 18, 2023.
CJ Gunn led the Blue Demons with 21 points before fouling out. Troy D'Amico netted a season-high 18, Jacob Meyer had 12 and David Thomas scored 10.
Seton Hall trailed by 11 with 4:12 left but rattled off nine in a row, making it 65-63 on Scotty Middleton's putback.
Down 67-65, Addae-Wusu got to the free-throw line but missed the front end of a one-and-one, and Meyer then made one of two at the line for DePaul.
The Pirates set up Coleman for a 3-pointer from the left wing to force overtime.
When Coleman drained another triple to open the scoring in overtime, he handed Seton Hall its first lead of the game at 71-68. CJ Gunn answered with a 3-pointer for DePaul, but after Aligbe made two free throws, Addae-Wusu banked in a straight-ahead shot from beyond the arc for a five-point Pirates lead. They stayed up by three the rest of the way.
DePaul committed 10 of its 15 turnovers after halftime in the face of Seton Hall's full-court pressure.
Pirates coach Shaheen Holloway got a technical foul in the first minute of the second half after shouting at an official. DePaul's resulting free throws produced a 45-26 margin, the largest of the game.
DePaul lost seven turnovers in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Soon after a 7-0 Pirates spurt, Coleman and Middleton connected on 3-pointers and Aligbe dunked to cut it to 50-45.
The Pirates got within one point, 50-49, on another trey by Jahseem Felton to complete a 19-2 stretch.
DePaul responded with the next eight points. Conor Enright made a difficult cross-court pass to D'Amico, who made his third 3-pointer of the night. D'Amico got open for another triple to make it 61-52 at the 5:11 mark.
