Shawn Smith to referee Super Bowl LX

Mandatory Credit: Charles LeClaire-Imagn Images Shawn Smith will head up the officiating crew for Super Bowl LX, the NFL announced Tuesday.
Smith will serve as the referee of the Super Bowl for the first time in his career. He joined the NFL's officiating ranks as an umpire in 2015 before being promoted to a referee in 2018.
Umpire Roy Ellison will join side judge Eugene Hall in working their fourth Super Bowl on Feb. 8 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
Back judge Greg Steed and down judge Dana McKenzie will work their respective third and second Super Bowls, while line judge Julian Mapp, field judge Jason Ledet and replay official Andrew Lambert also will work the big game.
