Sinclaire Johnson breaks U.S. women's record in mile

Eug 071622 Worlds 35 Sinclaire Johnson ran the fastest mile ever by an American woman on Saturday in London.
Johnson, 27, clocked a time of 4 minutes and 16.32 seconds at a Diamond League outdoor meet.
She shaved three-hundredths of a second off the previous mark set by Nikki Hiltz at 4:16.35 in 2023.
Johnson finished fourth in Saturday's race, which was won by Ethiopia's Gudaf Tsegay in 4:11.88.
