Sixers Select Ben Simmons With The First Pick In The NBA Draft
Photo via [object Object] The Philadelphia 76ers opened the 2016 NBA Draft by picking LSU forward Ben Simmons, as everyone expected they would. They now have about one million dudes above 6-foot-10, and it remains to be seen how they’ll manage to work that logjam out.
Simmons became the second player from LSU to be picked first overall after Shaq, and the second Australian after Andrew Bogut. The last player the Sixers picked first overall was Allen Iverson, 20 years ago.
