Sky's DiJonai Carrington ejected for foul on Fever's Sophie Cunningham

The Chicago Sky's DiJonai Carrington was ejected in the first quarter of Saturday's game against the Indiana Fever for a hard foul on Sophie Cunningham.

Late in the opening quarter, Cunningham was on a fast break and attempting a layup when Carrington ran down the play and fouled Cunningham across the left side of the head with her left arm. The players went face-to-face while being separated by teammates.

The play was reviewed and upgraded to a Flagrant 2 foul on Carrington, which carries an automatic ejection.

Carrington came off the bench to score eight points, on 3-of-3 shooting while making her only free-throw attempt, in four minutes.
