So, Who’s Gonna Get Relegated From The Premier League?
The top of the Premier League ain't that exciting. Arsenal will fall away, Chelsea will come back into it and push Man Utd for a bit before dropping out to leave Fergie and his phone to win it with two games to spare.
However, at the bottom things are absolutely mentally close, with only six points separating Sunderland in ninth and Wolves in the final relegation spot…
Wigan won at the weekend to move within one win of safety, while Blackpool are now stuck on 33 points (one off the drop zone) along with Aston Villa, Blackburn and West Bromwich Albion.
The bottom three are currently Wolves, Carling Cup winners Birmingham and the Latics.
Here's what The Spoiler reckons will happen…
Wigan have Spurs and Man Utd in their next two games, but beyond that the highest placed team they have to face is Everton in eighth. They have the second worst home record in the division though and we can't see them dragging themselves out of it.
Blackpool started the season bloody brilliantly. Ian Holloway was all cheeky and Charlie Adam looked (and continues to, in all fairness) a proper Premier League player. However, they have three consecutive six-pointer-must-win-blah-blah-blah home games against Wigan, Newcastle and Stoke. But - with the Seasiders having the worst home record in the division - they'll struggle to get out of it.
Finally, we reckon it'll be Blackburn. They've only won twice this calendar year in the league and seem to be getting worse. We also keep having dreams of Sam Allardyce sitting in his stained Y-fronts in a dimly lit room with a Bargain Bucket laughing manically to himself - that can mean only one thing. Or two if you include mental illness.
