Spooky times: 2026 World Series Game 7 falls on Halloween

Unless there is a weather postponement, the 2026 World Series is scheduled to end before November.

Major League Baseball announced its postseason dates on Monday and Game 7 of the World Series, if necessary, is scheduled for Halloween Night, Saturday, Oct. 31.

The World Series will begin Oct. 23 at the ballpark of the team with the better record in the regular season. FOX will televise the Fall Classic.

The best-of-seven National League Championship Series will begin Oct. 11 with Game 7 scheduled for Oct. 19. FOX will broadcast the series.

The American League Championship Series will run from Oct. 12-20. The series will be televised by TBS.

Division Series play in each league will run from Oct. 3-10. The wild-card rounds will be held Sept. 29-Oct. 1.

Wild-card games will be broadcast on NBC, Peacock and NBC Sports Network. It marks NBC's first postseason telecasts since the 2000 ALCS between the New York Yankees and Seattle Mariners.

FOX will televise the NL Division Series games and TBS will handle the AL Division Series games.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are two-time defending champions.
