Stanford CB Aaron Morris stretchered off field vs. SMU

Guard-Imagn Images Stanford cornerback Aaron Morris was removed from the field via ambulance with an apparent neck injury in the first quarter of Saturday's contest against SMU in Dallas.
Morris was "alert and responsive," according to school officials.
Morris was injured during an attempted tackle with over five minutes left in the first quarter. He stayed down on the field and trainers called for a stretcher and the ambulance came on to the field at Gerald Ford Stadium and transported him to a nearby hospital.
Saturday marked Morris fourth appearance of the season and 21st in three seasons at Stanford. He is a junior from Lowell, Mass.
