Steven Wilson completes dream season with eNASCAR title

Steven Wilson capped the greatest season in eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series history by cruising to a win at a virtual Homestead-Miami Speedway on Tuesday.
The season finale, featuring the top four competitors vying for the year-long title, was contested live at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte.
Wilson already had logged a record seven wins in the 2025 regular season before he drove the No. 77 Chevrolet to a 1.497-second victory.
Wilson, an Iowa City resident who earned the season championship in 2023, joins Ray Alfalla as the series' only multi-time champions. Alfalla captured titles in 2011, 2012, 2016 and 2018.
"The most challenging part was hitting that (qualifying) lap," Wilson said. "I got the pole there by almost a whole 10th (of a second), so really hit a great lap, lap of my life.
"I've been hearing about, 'Luck this, luck that, golden horseshoe.' Well, I kicked their ass tonight."
He added, "Really happy to have this team behind me. Great group of guys, and we've won the last three championships, so we're proving to be pretty good."
The runner-up to Wilson on the night was Donovan Strauss in the No. 4 Chevrolet. Graham Bowlin came in third place in the No. 48 Chevrolet, and 2024 series champion Parker White finished fourth in the No. 95 Chevrolet. Tucker Minter rounded out the top five in the No. 97 Chevrolet.
The other three Championship 4 contenders finished further back. Casey Kirwan, the 2022 series winner, came in sixth in the No. 24 Chevrolet. Vicente Salas, in the No. 11 Toyota, wound up in eighth, and Zack Novak took 12th in the No. 2 Toyota.
In the final standings, Kirwan was second, Salas was third and Novak was fourth.
"I had fun," said Kirwan, a Matthews, N.C., resident. "I wish we would have qualified a little better to maybe fire off a bit. But I think (Wilson and his team) were just really good. ...
"Massive congrats to Steven. It's been incredible what he's done all year."
