Sunday NBA Odds and Betting Picks for March 15th
The college basketball ranks will be getting a lot of attention today, but if you want to bet on basketball, you’ll find more options in the NBA with seven games. Of course, if you want to narrow that list down to just the best NBA bets of the day, we're here to help.
Keep reading for my NBA Best Bets list for Sunday, March 15.
Detroit Pistons vs. Toronto Raptors
The defense has been the backbone of Detroit’s stellar season so far this season; the Pistons are allowing, on average, 109.6 points per game, good enough for the third-best mark in the NBA. As for the Raptors, Toronto has taken a similar stance and is winning with defense (111.9 ppg allowed, tied for 7th-best).
When these two met in Toronto (Feb. 11, Detroit held the Raptors to under 100 points, well below their average of 113.5 ppg. But the Toronto defense did its job as well and held the Pistons short of their season average (117.4 ppg), but not by much, as the final score was 113-95.
My Pick: UNDER 220.5 at -106 (FanDuel)
Both teams rely on their defense to keep them in games, and that will almost certainly be the case today, as well, keeping the final score nice and low. The OVER is 3-7 in Detroit’s last ten games and 4-6 for Toronto.

Golden State Warriors vs. New York Knicks
Knicks -13.5 at -108 (FanDuel)
If this game featured two teams playing at close to full strength (if not full), it would likely be an incredible game. Of course, the spread still wouldn’t be 13.5 points, but it would be a competitive game. However, the Warriors will be without Draymond Green, Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis, Seth Curry, De'Anthony Melton, and Steph Curry, too.
New York will be without Miles McBride, and two players are GTD. But they will have Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby, and Karl-Anthony Towns. Golden State’s “B” team doesn’t stand a chance as long as the Knicks don’t give the game away.

Utah Jazz vs. Sacramento Kings
Utah last played on Friday, losing its second in a row, this time vs. the Portland Trail Blazers (124-114). The loss was their tenth out of their last 12 games. Sacramento hasn’t played since Wednesday of last week, when they lost to the Charlotte Hornets, 117-109.
The Jazz have a promising young team and like to pick up the pace, but have trouble with turnovers and do not defend the perimeter well. The Kings still struggle to score points (110.6 ppg, second to last).
My Pick: Kings -1.5 at -110 (FanDuel)
If the Jazz roster weren’t so beaten up, I’d have leaned towards taking them to win outright. But since the roster has been decimated by injuries, I have to lean towards taking Sacramento to cover.
