Sunday's Exciting Markelle Fultz Update: Fultz Still Out Indefinitely
Photo credit: Winslow Townson/ [object Object] Word started to spread Sunday morning that the Philadelphia 76ers would be sharing an update on the injury status of young Markelle Fultz, and that the news would be positive. That’s great! There has been almost no good Fultz news from the moment the Sixers drafted him—any good Fultz news is great Fultz news.
The exciting, positive news has arrived, and it is ... that Fultz is still out indefinitely, and has not resumed full basketball activities, more than three weeks after he was mercifully shelved after an alarming start to his first regular season. Great. Great news. Just great.
“[Sixers player] progressing” is now nearly as ubiquitous a Sixers team slogan as “Trust the Process.” The bar for “good Fultz news” is so distressingly low these days.
