Sungjae Im goes thumbs down on LIV Golf rumor

With multiple reports saying the 2018-19 PGA Tour rookie of the year was moving on to LIV Golf, Im posted one such story to his Instagram account, with the words "Fake news," followed by a thumbs-down emoji.
The winner of the 2020 Honda Classic and 2021 Shriners Children's Open had a strong 2025 season, finishing in the top 10 three times, including tied for fifth at The Masters. He finished the schedule tied for 27th in the Fed Ex Cup standings and is 42nd in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Im's best finish at The Masters was runner up in 2020. He had a seventh-place finish at The Open Championship in 2024.
The 2026 PGA Tour season begins Jan. 15-18 with the Sony Open at Honolulu, while LIV Golf's 2026 season starts Feb. 4-7 at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
