T1, Liquid reach Mid-Season Invitational play-in final
SkewMond competes for G2 Esports during the League of Legends tournament at the 2025 Esports World Cup. Team Liquid advanced Tuesday to face T1 in the play-in stage final at the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational in Daejeon, South Korea.
The winner of Wednesday's best-of-five Round 4 match will qualify for the bracket stage, an eight-team tournament that begins later this week with a $2 million prize pool including a $500,000 for the first-place finisher.
Either Team Liquid or T1 will open the double-elimination bracket stage on Friday against Bilibili Gaming in Round 1 of the upper bracket.
On Tuesday, Team Liquid eliminated Karmine Corp with a 3-0 sweep in Round 3, winning in 30, 36 and 35 minutes.
Brandon Joel "Josedeodo" Villegas led Team Liquid with a kills-deaths-assists ratio of 22-4-22, while Martin "Yike" Sundelin posted a 10-16-15 K-D-A for Karmine Corp.
