Lefty’s wrong turn lands him in the long stuff
Phil Mickelson was served a delightful slice of shit sandwich Tuesday as he and one of his longtime sponsors KPMG parted ways. You’d have to assume it was over the golfer’s comments on his willingness to do deals with the Saudis for the betterment of golf, but you also can’t rule out Mickelson’s “co...
Phil Mickelson doesn’t care about Saudi Arabia’s awful human rights record
Phil Mickelson will stop at nothing to spite the PGA Tour — not even willingly joining up with the Saudis’ new golf league while simultaneously acknowledging their human rights abuses....
Jake Paul and Phil Mickelson go to battle for their sports
Golf and boxing — could two sports be more different? Both have been around for centuries, but on the opposite sides of the class spectrum — golf historically (and, some may argue, presently) reserved for the “gentlemen” of society, an extremely exclusive hobby that has long prided itself on its dec...
Are you pumped for a docuseries about golf??
If you’ve been waiting your whole life to get a behind-the-scenes look at the riveting world of golf, your wait is over. Netflix has announced that they’ll be producing a PGA Tour docuseries in the style of the popular Formula One: Drive to Survive reality show that premiered in 2019....
Look at Tiger Woods saying good morning… from the golf course!
Tiger Woods is swinging golf clubs again. It’s not at a tournament, or what even looks like a practice round, but a club is technically making contact with a ball. On Sunday morning, Woods posted a brief, three-second, clip on Twitter of him with a basket of golf balls, and taking practice cuts. The...
World-clash events coming your way
A little off the beaten path, especially at this time of year, but this weekend sees two international competitions on these shores. First up is the Ryder Cup, which is fun for non-golf fans as everyone can enjoy watching stuffy-ass golfers having their sphincter close up tighter than a snare drum w...
Bryson DeChambeau’s ignorance is staggering
Everything Bryson DeChambeau said is wrong. Every. Thing. Which you knew, because most everything he says while on the PGA Tour is idiotic. But after returning from Japan and testing positive for COVID he’s the perfect example of how this nation is held back by uninformed, ignorant chewed boogers....
Hear me out: Snoozy Olympic golf should move to match play
I get it. Golf isn’t for everyone. Just like how some people consider baseball too slow for their viewing pleasure, golf suffers the same fate to an even larger extent. However, golf at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics has had even the most diehard golf fans falling asleep. ...
The great, young golfer not enough people are talking about
Update (7/18, 2:00 p.m.): Well, Collin Morikawa has won the British Open. Get used to hearing his name....
Try this on for size: Pro golfer Aaron Rodgers
Bryson DeChambeau looked like he had a lot of fun letting Aaron Rodgers win “The Match” against Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson for him yesterday. While DeChambeau’s ball spent more time in the trees than on the fairway, Rodgers looked like a professional golfer that might have a future on the PGA Tour...
We can applaud Naomi Osaka without disparaging the media
Naomi Osaka’s decision to withdraw from the French Open has sparked necessary conversation about athletes and mental health. It was so important to her that she was willing to sacrifice a potential $1.8 million in prize money to put her own peace first. That’s not the act of a so-called diva, or of ...
How can you not root for ‘old man’ Phil Mickelson?
In a day and age where Phil Mickelson makes more money starring in advertisements about psoriatic arthritis than playing golf, you’d think his days of winning majors were far behind him....
