Tampa Does What It Can To Please Bill Simmons
In a surprise announcement yesterday, the city of Tampa was awarded the Super Bowl in 2009. In a nod to the constant, insufferable bitching by everybody's favorite Interweb columnist, SportsFrog.com points out a key factor in the decision:
Buccaneers executive vice president Bryan Glazer went on to add that a city representative would be assigned to personally drive Bill Simmons around town so that traffic wouldn't hurt his wittle head, and that Simmons would be provided free drinks at Ybor City establishments. "Really," said Glazer, "it was our 'Simmons package' that probably put us over the top."
