Team Spirit, BetBoom, Aurora start fast at FISSURE Universe: Episode 6

Team Spirit, BetBoom Team and Aurora Gaming swept to victories in group stage openers Tuesday in FISSURE Universe: Episode 6.

In the fourth match of the day, PARIVISION and Team Liquid split their two maps.

The $250,000 tournament begins with a round-robin group stage that concludes Friday, featuring two groups of five teams playing best-of-two matches. The top team from each group advances to the upper-bracket playoffs. The second- and third-place teams from each group move on to the lower bracket while the remaining teams are eliminated.

The playoffs are Saturday and Sunday with a double-elimination bracket. All of these matches are best-of-three except for the grand final, which is best-of-five.

In Group A, Team Spirit downed Team Falcons in 28 minutes on green and 47 minutes on red. Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk of Ukraine led Team Spirit in a 31-5-17 kill-death-assist ratio.

BetBoom Team took care of the Gaimin Gladiators in 48 minutes on red and 21 minutes on green. Danil "gpk" Skutin of Russia led BetBoom with a 24-1-19 K-D-A.

In Group B, Aurora Gaming outlasted Team Tidebound in 54 minutes on red and 34 minutes on green. Russian Gleb "kiyotaka" Zyryanov led Aurora with a 31-10-22 K-D-A.


PARIVISION won the opener in 54 minutes on red before Team Liquid earned a split with a 37-minute victory on green. Alan "Satanic" Gallyamov of Russia had 17 kills, two deaths and 15 assists in PARIVISION's win. Michael "miCKe" Vu of Sweden recorded a 24-3-11 K-D-A in Team Liquid's victory.
