Team Vitality took down Team Falcons 3-2 in the BLAST Rivals Spring event's grand final Sunday in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Team Falcons jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a 13-9 victory on Inferno, but Team Vitality responded with 13-6 wins on Dust II and Train.

Needing a win to force a decisive fifth game, Team Falcons secured a 16-14 overtime triumph on Mirage. In that fifth game, Team Vitality notched a 13-8 victory on Nuke to claim the title and the $125,000 prize.

Team Falcons took home $75,000 as the runner-up.

Team Vitality's Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbaut of France posted 90 kills along with a plus-24 K-D differential, while teammate Robin 'ropz' Kool of Estonia (91 kills, plus-23) also played a major role.

Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov of Russia (92 kills, plus-14) was the only member of Team Falcons to have a positive K-D differential.

The eight-team, $350,000 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament began with the teams split into two double-elimination groups.

The winners of each group moved to the playoff semifinals. The group runners-up headed to the quarterfinals as high seeds, and the third-place teams landed in the quarterfinals as low seeds. The fourth-place teams in each group were eliminated.

The single-elimination playoffs ran Friday through Sunday. All group-stage matches and playoff matches were best-of-three except for the grand final, which was best-of-five.
