Texans sign LB Devin White

The Houston Texans signed former Pro Bowl linebacker Devin White to a contract on Wednesday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the Texans for White, who was released by the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 8.
After a five-year stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during which he earned a Pro Bowl nod (2021), White signed a one-year, $4 million deal with the Eagles in free agency. He did not play in a regular-season game with the team, however.
The Eagles put him on the inactive list for the first four games of the season and he missed a fifth game, citing personal reasons.
White, 26, has recorded 566 tackles (40 for loss), 23 sacks, 64 quarterback hits, three interceptions, six forced fumbles and nine fumble recoveries in 76 career games (75 starts) since the Bucs picked him fifth overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.
In 2020, he had two interceptions and two fumble recoveries over three playoff games, including an interception of Patrick Mahomes in Super Bowl LV as the Buccaneers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9.
